Forum Rules:
1. OTF Prime Directives will be observed : Click her for Full list of OTF PD's
2. No "naughty" pictures / words / links / suggestive things
3. If two characters in a sim are getting "hot and heavy" during a Personal or Duty Log,
skip the "scene" by saying something like "Skip 2hrs" and continue with scene
4. Final Say of any disagreement between Simming Team Members within the Forums falls under
Forum Manager Numbahs. If issue continues, ISA will be handed the documentation of the issue for review.
5. No God-Modding. This means no controlling another characters actions or responses without their permission. This applies to some NPC's.
For Example:
And you cant say whether or not you have killed a player or Their NPC's either. Unnamed NPC's can be killed at will, for they are disposable, but remember, no one is immortal, and the best fighters in the world cant take on 10,000 warriors by himself with nothing but a sword.
This also means that you can not declare you have Hurt someone, you must state your attack and wait for you opponant to respond with a defence or weather you have hit them. This does not mean that a defender can block ANYTHING, it is counted god-modding if they block something impossible to block.
If both players have already agreed before battle that one will die and that certain injuries can be sustained, then this rule does not Apply.
6. The first post counts. Following posts that disagree with the first post are invalid. Remember to allow fellow simmers to respond to an action before creating more action.
7. Keep true to the power level and limitations of your character. In other words, if your a 15 year old Civilian trainee, chances are, you cant take on a vetran Klingon Warrior, no matter how many hours you spent practicing.
8. When making a post, always write in story format.
Bad Example
Good Example
Jake walked up to mike and tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention, when mike turned around, jake said, "Hey, whats up Mike!"
I will also accept it if you prefer to skip a line before having someone talk, and place their name before the speach.
For Example:
You may write in Third or First Person as meets your preference.
9. Remain Genre Specific. If you are Simming Star Trek, don't bring wookies to a fight.
10. If you have the access, no changing of color schemes or anything on the board without Permission from
Forum Management or ATL or TL.
If your having a technical issue. Please inform AM of Forum Management, T'Pel and she will take care of it.
If she cannot for some reason it will go to Forum Manager, Numbahs and it will be resolved.
